Self-Arranged Option

Self-arranged - When you choose this option, you are on your own to find a job to participate in the Work and Travel USA program. This option gives you complete freedom in choosing your location and type of work, allowing you to find a job that best meets your expectations and wishes. However, despite this freedom, there are some restrictions that are important to consider (the coordinator will explain them). To participate in the Self-arranged option, you will need to submit a job offer from a U.S. employer at least three months before departure. A job offer is an official document that includes your personal information, employer information, your job position, hours of work, and salary. Once you submit the job offer, it will be sent to the program sponsor for review and approval. What should you do if you can't find a job in time? If you are having trouble finding a job and can't get a job offer on time, don't worry! In this case, you can contact your program coordinator and ask to switch to the Full Service option. If possible, you can switch to the Full Service option by paying the difference in the program fee at the time of the switch. However, it is important not to delay this decision, as the availability of the transition to Full Service may be limited starting in February.
