Κ: Hi!
Εγώ: How do you do!
Κ: How’re you?
Εγώ: Pretty good
Κ: (δεν άκουσε τίποτα και ρωτάει ξανά) How’re you?
Εγώ: I’M FINE!
Κ: OK Are these documents yours?
Εγώ: Yes
Κ: Are you sure?
Εγώ: Yope!
Κ: Where’re you going to work?
Εγώ: M.P.company,Ww,NJ.
Κ: Who is the governor on NJ state?
Εγώ: ??? I’m sorry? I don’t remember!
Κ: And who is the president of US?
Εγώ: B. Obama!
Κ: All right, and what do you study?
Εγώ: (άκουσα where) Kazan Cooperative Institute
Κ: NO! I mean what do you study??
Εγώ: Oyy, economics!
Κ: Who is the minister of economics in Russia?
Εγώ: Εεε... German Gref!
Κ: Very well. Your English is good. And what’s your favorite movie?
Εγώ: (πέταξα το πρώτο πράγμα που μου ήρθε στο μυαλό) Comedy – Alone at home!
Κ: Oy, you mean Home alone. Do you really like it?
Εγώ: YES!
Κ: OK You’ll get your Visa! Everything is fine! Have a nice summer!
Εγώ: Good bye!
Κ: Have a nice...

-Officer: Hello
-Me: Hi (χαμογελάμε!!!)
-O: So... let me see... You are an exchange student, aren’t you?
-M: Yes, Sir
-O: And what are you going to do in America? Are you going to work?
-M: I'm going to work as a waitress at an Italian restaurant. You may laugh, but working as a waitress has been one of the dreams of my life. Indeed, every time I am at the restaurant with my parents or friends, I want to be at the place of the waiter.
-O: (Ο αξιωματικός όντως γελάει) Well, it’s a hard job, believe me!
-M: Yes, I’ve heard about it. Well, I’ll be given an opportunity to try it out!
-O: Were do you study?
-M: (στη συνέχεια με μια κομψή κίνηση βγαίνει η φοιτητική ταυτότητα, το βαθμολόγιο, βεβαιώσεις από τα πανεπιστήμια και ξεκινάει η ωδή στην Alma Mater) I’m enrolled in the program of the Russian-French University which means that I am a student at the Linguistic University of NN, where I study French and English, and at the Economics Department of the NN State University. That’s why when I graduate in two years I’ll be given two diplomas!
-O: (Ξεφυλλίζει επαγγελματικά το βαθμολόγιο, κοιτάζει τις σφραγίδες στη φοιτητική ταυτότητα) I see...Very nice...May I have a look at your previous passport with the previous visas? This is the new one, isn’t it?
-M: Yes, the passport that you have is new, because the old one has already expired. Here is my old passport. As you see, I've traveled a lot in my life. I've been many times to Europe: Germany and France. I strongly believe that travelling is the greatest thing in the world! One gets to know other cultures, mentalities, meets new interesting people and practices the language. Alone changing the atmosphere makes it worth to go on trip!
-O: Ok, well...thank you, your documents are all right, everything is fine and you can pick up your visa within few days. Good luck and have a nice trip!
-M: Thank you. Bye!

Κ: Good morning.
Εγώ: Good morning.
Κ: Summer Work and Travel, right?
Εγώ: Right.
Κ: So, last summer you were...?
Εγώ: Tennessee, Chattanooga.
K: Excuse me?..
Εγώ: TENNESSEE!
Κ: Oh, oh, ok, I see. Tennessee. Last time you came back late....
K: ....October, 15... Right?
Εγώ: Yes, sir.
K: You missed some classes, right?
K: (αμηχανία στο πρόσωπο) – No??? But your classes start....?
Εγώ: Oh, sure, the first of September. But first two months our schedule is rather unstable, classes are not very serious. It was not difficult for me to catch up. So, I didn’t have any problems.
So, you visited the US once. Why do you want to do it again?
ξαφνικά ξεστόμισα: - I just enjoyed it. I like it!
K: (προς έκπληξή μου, η έκφραση του προσώπου του είναι σαν να μην περίμενε άλλη απάντηση) - Ok! Where are you going this summer?
Εγώ: Maryland.
K: Ok. Can you show me your student ticket?
Εγώ: Here you are.
Are you a sophomore?
Εγώ: No, I’m in my forth year...
K: Oh!!! O’kaaaaay!!! They just make these stamps so close to each other that I can barely see them.
K: Oh, ok. Ok. So, everything is ok with your documents. (Εδώ απομακρύνεται λίγο με την καρέκλα του και ρωτάει κάποιον "We are doing the same as last time, aren’t we?"
K: Everything is fine. But.... We have some problems with your sponsor organization, they didn’t provide us with correct information. It’s not your fault. You can’t get your visa till we fix the problem. Ok?
My passport...
K: No, no! We will keep it till your company fixes the problem. Ok?
Εγώ: Oh! Sure!!!
K: Good bye!
Εγώ: Good bye!
