March 4

I am in my final year of university and I really want to go to America! If everything works out, I will spend this summer in Wisconsin, in the city of Wisconsin Dells.

I found the job offer on my own, right at the moment when I had almost lost hope... The contract states that the offer must be submitted for verification 3 months before departure. My deadline was February 25th, and I managed to submit it on February 19th. My employer (Susan) issued the offer the day after we met. She has hosted students from Russia before, and this year there will be three others besides me.

Just a day before that, I had almost received another offer. Another employer (Alice) promised to send it the next day and then... disappeared. A bit later, she wrote that she had been busy and asked if I still needed the offer. I thanked her and declined. This decision was difficult for me, as I had read on a forum that it is necessary to have a backup offer. But I didn't want to deceive Alice either. I am happy with the offer from Susan. It is exactly what I wanted. Working with food at a diner. I will be serving food and working at the cash register.

I love autumn and rain. I don't like the heat.
