It's April 1st already!))))) Don't believe anyone!! And I've already been pranked - at 12:30 AM!)
So, one week left... (well, a bit more, but what's the difference, a day more or less)))). I just want to get inside the embassy walls as soon as possible, and even faster, I want to walk out of there with that coveted visa)))) xD
Everyone has been scaring me, saying that a 12-hour bus ride is tough (and if you add the 12 hours back, that's a whole day!))))) Although I love trips. You just sit on the bus, and it keeps going and going... Landscapes outside the window, and you have plenty of time to think about something. Tell me, when was the last time you lay on your bed and just thought about something for 5-6 hours? Right, never)))) Because we are constantly rushing somewhere, we need to do things, socialize!) And sometimes it's veeeery pleasant to just think...
And traveling at night is a total vibe))))) (at least for me)
Yeah. I kind of got off-topic here)
But here is what I wanted to tell you! On March 20th, we, the future travelers and participants of the 2nd group heading to Moscow (we filled up 2 buses, if not more))), decided to organize a meetup (thanks to social networks, especially VK!), to sit somewhere and chat) And to get to know each other, after all, it's more fun together!)))
I'm a fan of such events in general) We decided to meet on Saturday at 6 o'clock under the Yakub Kolas monument. (may the famous writer forgive me, but I didn't know where that monument was located))))
By about 5:45, I was already there, alone, walking under a light drizzle (I didn't even think to take an umbrella, so I was slowly starting to look like a wet chicken)))) I'm standing there thinking, "What the hell brought me here, maybe everyone already left?"
I look to the right, there's a couple standing there, hugging) It felt awkward to approach them)
I turn to the left, and there, quietly at first, 2 girls were standing under an umbrella, then another girl joined them, and another))) And you could already hear the cheerful chatter of ladies trying to hide under one umbrella)))
Well, of course, these were the Work and Travel people) 4 girls wouldn't just stand under an umbrella waiting for 4 guys for a mass date)))
I walked up to them, and before I could even ask, I heard, "Yes, yes, it's us! Come under the umbrella with us!))"
Anyway, about 11-12 of us gathered) We arrived at a pizzeria, waited for a big table))) And... we talked, and talked, and talked) I got the impression that I already knew them all from somewhere))))) Mostly everyone is a first-timer, everyone is a bit nervous, although they try to hide it)))) But it seems to me that after this meeting, the spark to go to America burned even brighter for all of them) After all, it's not just work, it's also a multitude of new acquaintances!)))
You know, I think it's necessary to meet up like this, to get to know each other) You immediately see that you're not the only one solving a bunch of problems, pushing your way toward a pink dream!)
Yes, diaries, forums... but when you see live smiles, hear curious questions, and smile while looking at burning eyes - you realize that these are the people who might succeed or those who might get a turn-down from fortune!) That this is reality, not some computer unreal)
Too much text? Yeah... too much text) Well, forgive a journalism student)))) If only my articles were written as easily as my blogs)))))
