For those who don't know, you can get from New York to Boston for just $15 by taking a Chinese bus company instead of the usual Greyhound. The comfort is the same, the travel time is even shorter, but most importantly, it's the cost. Moreover, Lucky Bus offers the same route for just $1, though only once and only when buying the ticket online!
Boston is the coolest city in the United States. It is beautiful, picturesque, very historical, spiritual, modern, and dynamic. I am in love with this city and simply cannot criticize it. In my opinion, it is the ideal place for a student. First of all, it is the oldest major city in the USA, founded back in the 17th century, and the scent of history is everywhere here - narrow cobblestone streets, old brick houses, chapels and churches, of which there are thousands, cafes, restaurants, taverns... all this is Boston. Despite all this, Boston is a very modern and dynamic city, and students give it its youth. There are as many as 600,000 of them here. The list of universities also looks impressive: Harvard, MIT, Boston University, Suffolk University... - all leaders of global higher education.
Along with students and universities, there are entire university districts where housing is rented exclusively by students. One of them is Allston. Every evening there are endless parties, every morning there are sofas and armchairs standing on the lawn with "corpses" sleeping right on them, piles of trash, emotions, and delight. This is exactly how American students spend their long but fun 4 years, just like in famous student movies.
Having spent only 8 hours in Boston, we gathered impressions for a long time ahead and took about 1000 photos, it already became boring. It was sad to imagine that our offers were just a 3-hour drive from here, in a small resort town on the Atlantic coast of the state of Maine! Which we imagined to be a remote village)
