I enjoyed the flight))) You sit there calmly, a smooth journey, clouds floating beneath you, the sky upside down... I even wanted the plane to shake a little, just to make it more interesting! In Italy, they didn't let us into the city, they said "Russo, no, no!" We spent the whole night stuck at the airport! There were about 12 of us, all in one group. I never thought you could sleep on hard, narrow seats with your head on a laptop and actually get some rest!!! The next day, the flight to New York was delayed. As a result, we arrived at 14:45 instead of the promised 13:15. Considering the next flight to Chicago was booked for 16:05 for $260, we couldn't afford to dawdle! We were the first to bolt off the plane and ran to passport control. We walk into the hall and just can't believe it! Is this the Tower of Babel?! Or St. Peter's Square??? I'm standing in line and mentally saying goodbye to my $260! Suddenly, a Russian girl comes up from behind and asks to cut the line – she's missing her flight. I say I'm missing mine too, and she says: "Then why are you just standing there???" And off we went... climbing through the barriers, cutting the line everywhere, saying left and right: "Sorry, but our next flight will be in an hour, do you mind if we go ahead?" By the way, everyone was understanding and let us through without any problems; that wouldn't happen in Russia! We reached the customs officer this way, a smiley dark-skinned guy. In a frantic state, I dump my whole stack of documents on the counter, and he looks at me expectantly. I put my hands on the counter palms up, as if to show I have nothing else. "Are you o'k?" he asks a perfectly logical question. "Yes, but my next flight...", and so on. "O'k..." and he quickly takes my fingerprints (by the way, he only took them from one hand instead of two, so I can get up to some mischief with my left one))))) and stamps my passport. Then we quickly bypass the baggage claim line using our proven method and run to the next flight. At the bag check before boarding, I couldn't understand what they were telling me. An American standing nearby somehow explained that I needed to take the laptop out of the bag. In short, we got on the plane 5 minutes before departure. The most annoying thing is that we then sat there for another half hour – there was no takeoff clearance)))
