Goodbye and hello everyone! :) I am Valerka Leontiev
From the author:
If you are reading this blog, it means I am already on the other side of the ocean)) No, wait, I didn't lie)) I am still here. Or rather, I have just 6 days left until my Great and, as I think, unforgettable journey. If the Earth were not spherical but flat, one could say that very soon I will set off to the edge of the Earth :) I guess I can skip how I suddenly wanted to go, applied, passed the interview, and started packing my suitcases. Although, regarding the latter, I can elaborate: I read a bunch of forums on VKontakte about what to take and what not to take, and I still decided to take only one backpack, because I don't need any extra burden. And I plan to bring back a lot of things... :) Although, it turns out there are such fools, people who take 5 kg of buckwheat, an iron, a hairdryer, etc., etc. with them. Well, I don't know... you have to be a pretty dim person to carry all that with you_)
Well, never mind, to each their own. My list of things for the first time:
2-3 t-shirts + one on me laptop (I thought about it for a very long time, but still decided to take it, thanks to Evgen for this, and he in turn says thanks to Slava, who went without a laptop :))
jeans
CorteZ (sneakers)
flip-flops (the ones with the thing between the big toe and the index toe, I think they are called slides or whatever - thong sandals)
medications well, socks and underwear, that's natural :)
shorts a sweater or maybe a light jacket (just in case)
driver's license (I plan to use it there)
small towel well, something else small, I'll remember closer to departure))
By the way, I will be working at a hotel in the state of Maryland as a Groundskeeper/houseman)) I had my offer as early as February 2nd)) or rather, I saw it on February 2nd, and the hotel manager signed it back on January 2nd. :) I won't even talk about how I was already mentally living in America back in December)) but the closer it got to summer, the less I thought about IT.... but I understood that it was my dream to be there, across the ocean :) I went for my J-1 Visa without much of a mood, because I understood that if I didn't get it, I would at least spend this summer with my BELOVED girl, who, by the will of my stupidity/chance, is staying in the RF... Well, I got my J-1 Visa on April 3rd and realized, what? - I am sexy and I know it))
And now May has arrived, and now everything has changed... now I am mentally THERE again...))) and in 3 days I have to take 9 subjects for my session... but there are still a couple left, and I will probably leave them for the autumn, because I don't really want to take anything right now, and my session has been extended until November (thanks to the Coach)
to be continued... -)-
