On this page, I will write down all the little things I can remember. I hope you find them interesting.
I meet Russians almost every day) sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose. But I do meet them) and you know, it's nice to suddenly hear your native language.
Stores.
There are two supermarket chains - Spar (well-known in Russia) and Pick n Pay. The latter is cheaper.
They DO NOT sell: pelmeni (who would have doubted it), any cottage cheese products (HOOOOW do these people live without curd snacks?! When I get back to Russia, I'll eat a billion of them!), buckwheat (maybe I didn't look hard enough), mayonnaise.
I'm sure that's not all.
Alcohol is sold in specialized stores that operate on some mysterious schedule.
By the way, about alcohol. Recently, my foreign friends invited me for a walk. They asked, "Do you even drink?" I said: "Pff! I'm from Russia!"
They laughed for a long time and immediately started saying that I must drink vodka in large quantities.
Yes, by the way. These same friends taught me how to use our shared washing machine while there are no hosts around. You don't have to pay 40 rand in that case))
Sneaky!
And one more thing. I've already been asked out on a date twice. I don't understand why it's not like that in Russia?
