Before leaving for the States, I read a lot about other people's experiences, forums, notes, diaries... Almost everyone said they had changed. Not better or worse, just completely different. And as soon as I arrived here, on the very first day, I was told that I was so sweet and homey and that America would change me in a cool way. I didn't believe it and just smiled in response. There was a shadow of doubt in that smile, but I just couldn't understand: how can one change in just a few months, when sometimes a person doesn't change their whole life and continues to make the same mistakes until old age.
But now it's mid-August and I feel that I have really changed. In almost everything: my walk, manners, speech, appearance... yes, sometimes, just like back home, I come home from work and, like a ground squirrel, I collapse to sleep because I don't want to do anything. But mostly, I always want some movement, some action)))
Okay, I'm giving up the computer... I'll finish the note when I get it back.
