No matter what stilts we stand on,
we can't do without our own legs.

One of the most important points you need to fulfill to successfully pass the interview at the USA embassy, and not only for that, is finding a job in the USA or a job offer! An offer is also needed to actually go to the States, so... there's no way around it!
There are many ways to look for a job:
when registering in the W&T program, buy the INTEREXCHANGE FULL SERVICE or PLUS package search on your own buy an offer from an agency others)
With the first option, the TsMO handles the job search, but you initially pay more than with the Self-Arranged program!
Searching on your own is an interesting and inexpensive option. The internet and activity will, of course, help here!
We prepare a resume (CV, curriculum vitae)
http://www.jobofer.ru/resume/ or http://www.amerricana.ru/docs/CV.gif and other options.
We write a cover letter (cover letter)
http://www.jobofer.ru/coverletter/ or http://www.amerricana.ru/docs/CL.gif
You should also have a photo, the consulate one will do (5x5). Don't send a photo with your family or from a party)...
Next, let's not be lazy and register an email account. You need to do this on a foreign mail server, because we'll be sending emails to the USA, and there, unfortunately, there's no mail.ru and there's a chance messages will be poorly delivered or completely ignored!
When registering an account, names like sweet_baby@gmail.com or strong_guy@gmail.com don't fly; they somehow aren't popular with employers. Better dima_medvedev@gmail.com or vova_putin@gmail.com... you know what I mean))
Now that everything is ready, we begin the search.
There are also several search options.
We register on j1jobs.com and send our resumes and cover letters to all the vacancies that interest you. Sending on that site is free!
We look for various companies that interest us, go to their website and check their contact details there, to which we send our CV, CL, Photo. For example: On http://maps.google.ru/ type "hotels San Diego". The map shows hotel locations. Hover the cursor over the place that interests you, click, and you have all the necessary information.
Remember that when searching on your own most of your emails will be ignored) so try to send as many letters as possible to different employers. At least 500) I know, it's a pain, but the result is worth it)
You can also buy an offer from an agency. The easiest option, but costs are in the $100-140 range, which isn't bad for busy folks)
Here are a couple of sites with the most authority:
Both sites have roughly the same conditions - processing within 1-2 weeks, choice of vacancies from the available list. Remember that closer to spring there are fewer vacancies)
And of course, don't neglect communicating with other W&T participants, since from them you can get both very valuable advice on finding an offer and an offer itself (as in my case) =) natash, thanks))
With the help of these simple methods you can find a job in the USA and confidently go to the embassy) for our visa)
