Once I had a day off. I decided not to waste time and go to Albany to their skate shop to buy sneakers and a skateboard. Just before I was about to leave it started to rain, I was bummed. While we were driving the rain didn't stop at all and, damn, just kept getting heavier. As soon as I got off the bus the sun came out, the rain stopped, sweet. #ilovethiscountry

So I'm walking down Albany, Madison Ave. I'm wearing a Hendrix T-shirt, and he's even playing in my headphones. An African American man walks toward me, about fifty years old, with a pretty solid beard. I walk past and with my peripheral vision notice that he turned to me and says something. I pull out an earbud and hear: "Where did you get this Hendrix t-shirt?" I explained to him that there's a little shop in Lake George. I say I love Hendrix, and that he's playing in my headphones right now, and I give him one earbud to listen. He listens and says: "yeeah, that's Jimmy!" We laughed, shook hands and went on our way. #ilovethiscountry(2)

I get to the skate shop — there's a talkative, kind salesperson who helped pick everything by size and all that. I bought a skateboard and Converse skate shoes for only $200. Boards like Baker, Girl, etc., etc. — all $50 with grip tape. #ilovethiscountry(3)
