The hardest part, as usual, is getting started. And the most logical place to start is with the photo. There are so many requirements that I didn't even know where to go or who would take the picture correctly. I went to a local photo studio, they turned me away, then I went to another one in the center—same result. Luckily, I have a friend who is also a photographer. In the end, I crawled to her like a beaten dog and begged her to take the shot. We struggled with this photo from 10:00 to 13:00. As you can imagine, the difficulty isn't in the taking of the photo itself, but in the proper editing (which, oops, is forbidden). You can't crop this photo, let alone Photoshop it. We cropped it and Photoshopped it anyway. No one sees how we got it, as long as it uploads to the site—that's what matters most. Then we messed around a bit and turned me into an Avatar or a Smurf. Filling out the application is also quite a challenge. You have to do everything carefully, with feeling and purpose. Personally, I was always just a little short on time, and then it was back to the start again. It was a lifesaver for me that Google Chrome saves everything in the boxes; you just have to click on them.
