Almaty. April 2029. 7 a.m. The day is clear. Monday. And the working week has begun. The metropolis, as always, is active. The sounds of high-speed trains, the hum of electric cars, somewhere the national anthem can be heard...Everything is in motion. But this is not the chaotic movement with traffic jams, accidents and other micro-conflicts typical of the early 2000s. No, the world has changed. And despite skeptics(Yes-yes, we survived 2012), it has changed for the better. People were right to say that globalization is an inevitable process. And now the process has reached its apogee. Thanks to globalization and, in part, to the crisis, humanity has reached incredible heights in medicine, the economy, technology and education.
This is how the world greeted me on this beautiful morning. My name is Bopanov Timur, I teach US history at universities. Today I decided not to rush to class. Leisurely I brewed coffee(many, of course, prefer servant robots, but I believe they are for the lazy). The news reports the imminent launch in the USA of the spacecraft "Explorer", which over the course of several decades will search for habitable planets and intelligent life in our galaxy. A crew from 25 different countries is being assembled now. Apparently humanity's dreams of space are coming true...
The end of May. Students are usually sleepy (my classes are the last ones), they were discussing something loudly. Later I learned that the Center for International Exchange announced a recruitment of young promising people to the crew team of that very ship. Kazakhstan has only 5 places. The top 5 will be included in the program and sent to the USA. It will not be easy for these five, because most likely their whole lives will be spent searching for unknown worlds. The choice is very difficult, but Fortune favors the young and the daring. And IEC gives them a chance. And after all, in the distant 1998 the Center was only beginning its work in Kazakhstan, but now this organization offers to go into deep space. Incredible...Youth, be daring!
P.S. When I was writing I was of sound mind, almost=)}
