Gathering the shards of memories piece by piece, you try to fit them into a common mosaic, carefully placing every detail and cherishing it like a treasure for the rest of your days. But no matter how hard I try to bring my memories to a common denominator, alas, I fail. My America was too diverse, contradictory, and chaotic. At times, the ground would slip from under my feet, and it seemed that life was hanging by a thread... Yet there were moments when a single day, in its sheer weight of happiness, was worth more than a whole lifetime.

My America is a cocktail of vivid images, deep experiences, and otherworldly feelings. I still haven't been able to fully decipher its recipe, and its dangerous, tart taste has remained on my lips forever.

I decided to share only the most significant and precious moments, those impressions that, like tattoos, will never fade from the delicate skin of my soul.
