Weekly chronicle. Tuesday, 11 PM: I get an email saying my interview is scheduled for Thursday, with no time or any other useful info. I think, 'Alright, that's good,' since everyone else already got their visas and I was the only one worried about passing 6 credits and 6 exams... Wednesday, 10 PM: Email - 'Your interview has been rescheduled'... haha, I thought, and went to sleep. Thursday: Email - 'Your interview is scheduled for 10 AM Friday' - Oh! Seriously?! Thursday, 3 AM: I decided to study for my exam, 5 AM: went to sleep, 5:45 AM: the birds woke up and started SINGING! But I held on and decided I needed to sleep! 7 AM: A half-dead organism got up and decided I needed coffee. 8 AM: Decided to check the exact location of the consulate on the map. 9 AM: I'll just walk. 9:30 AM: Arriving 30 minutes early, I decided to pop into a cafe for some mineral water, since I needed to look a bit fresher for the Americans. Yawning and totally relaxed in my sleepy state, around 10:25 AM I entered the consulate building; I probably didn't realize that if I didn't get the visa, it wouldn't end nearly as coolly as a summer at 20 should be. Security - scanner - I went to drink more mineral water - sat and waited a bit, watching TV and telling the guys how cool the Netherlands are, and then my turn came - the interview, a cool girl asked about my studies and where I'm going, and gave me a positive green slip. Yooo!!! It hit me! I finally woke up!! My dear visa)))!! It's mine! And it was only 11:45 AM!!! I even managed to eat and head to uni! Now I can breathe a sigh of relief and fly.
