December 10

As a rule, many people sum up their personal results by the end of the year to emphasize to themselves what still needs work, or to praise themselves for what was planned and accomplished. I do not limit myself to thoughts about personal achievements; I also try to analyze what has changed in the world and what we still need to work on. We still have things to strive for, but the way we finish the decade cannot help but please. For me, the success of the outgoing year was not people's indifference to global ecology or politics, but the acceptance of oneself and others, and above all the thirst for peace and justice.

Beginning to speak about the future, I would like to write a short preface. I am insanely grateful to my friends for discussing the most incredible ideas concerning the future and to my teacher of cultural analysis in advertising, who made me dig into various articles and my own thoughts to understand what I would like to see the world become in a few decades and what it will actually be like.

First of all, I want to describe my crazy theory about the future specifically in the context of the whole world. Science and technology are developing so fast now that my assumptions could really affect us in 2039, although at first it may seem like something out of a science fiction film about the year 3039. Have you ever thought about the value of human experience, human knowledge and feelings, or the value of relationships? I always think about this. I always react painfully to the loss of a close person or of someone interesting to me. Take, for example, Michael Jackson. A man-machine. A hulking man. Despite the latest news revealed in a documentary on HBO, he was a person with such colossal experience that it is terrifying to imagine. A person who throughout his life learned, felt, loved, discovered, brought something of his own to the world, and in one moment all of that was gone. Future generations will learn about him only from documentaries, from some preserved recordings and photographs. Or another example beyond reality: the Mayan civilization. If I am not mistaken, scientists still cannot figure out how they built their houses without any binding elements, and those structures have survived to this day. In 2039 all questions will disappear, because people will become robots. One could say, like in the animated series Futurama. Thanks to bone tissue or a DNA element, scientists will be able to create a robot that has exactly the same knowledge, feelings, and memories as a deceased person. A robot will no longer look like the emotionless machine we imagine. For example, this year French engineers developed a phone case similar to human skin that responds to tickling and pinching. If that was invented now, imagine what a robot will be like in 2039. I am sure that science will advance so far that we will even be able to feel the warmth of a robot when touching its skin, and hair and nails will grow on their own. The world will bring back brilliant and famous people, and every person will be able to regain someone they once lost. A girlfriend once asked me: "Today, besides the environmental agenda, there is another global problem — overpopulation. Have you ever wondered what will happen if robots are added to the living population?" I have wondered! By 2039 parallel universes will appear, robots will be able to live on other planets and no one will ever feel the problem of lack of land. What else is characteristic of the "future human"? If you follow my theory, people's knowledge will be uploaded into a robot via a certain computer. It turns out that in the computer our brain will be sorted into folders containing our habits, fears, thoughts, knowledge, etc. Where am I going with this? By creating a robot with the brain and soul of a particular person, bad qualities, malice, envy, and the urge for war and domination will be erased with the help of the computer. There will be no more wars, envy, or greed in the world. I think the world will then become like the one John Lennon once sang about in the song "Imagine." Everyone will live and work not for themselves alone, but for the good of our world, making it better and better each time. Another girlfriend asked me: "But a robot also needs care, they will break down. Is there any solution to such a problem?" In my opinion, if a robot is equipped with a brain and a soul, it will be able to feel, and there will be no problems with self-care. Everyone will be able to take care of themselves calmly. I want the world to have that harmony that combines the balance of nature and science. We can be robots ourselves. By our efforts we can revive other people. By our efforts we can make the world better. But nothing will replace our nature, no electrical flower, so with all our strength and all our ideas we will preserve it. There will be no airplanes or cars that pollute the environment, because in 20 years a teleporter will appear that will move us to any place in a matter of seconds. By 2039 robots will be able to swim underwater without worrying about their internal systems catching fire. There will no longer be an urge to hunt. We will be able to protect species on the brink of extinction and restore those that have died out. We will restore the cleanliness of the world's oceans, rebuild coral reefs that are now on the verge of disappearance. For the future this will not be a problem.

Now I want to reveal what I will be doing, what will happen to the Work&Travel program and what travel will be like; we have already talked about the world around us. I will work for the good of the world. I cannot name exactly the profession I will work in, but I know for sure that I would like to try myself in almost every field; I would like to create, help nature and people. The Work&Travel program will expand its capabilities. In addition to all the countries of the world, there will be the opportunity to travel to other planets, work there as a volunteer, and create something for future life. This will be a program available to everyone because everyone will be able to contribute something unique, kind, and good, and everyone deserves to gain unique experience. Travels will be intergalactic, without any paperwork, long financial savings, or problems. This will no longer be considered part of a luxurious life. Everyone will be able to travel everywhere.

I want to finish my thoughts by saying that such a contest should be renewed in 2039 and the blogs of the participants preserved to see how the world has changed in 20 years. Many friends tell me "it can't get any better," but I have not the slightest doubt that in 20 years the end of the 2030s of the 21st century will be even more successful and even more grandiose than the end of the 2010s of the 21st century. Please excuse me if there are any grammatical mistakes, repetitions, or perhaps some lack of coherence in my post. I wrote under the pressure of thoughts, emotions, and sincerely. Thank you very much for your attention!
