I have wanted to travel since I started watching the show "Oryol i Reshka". Watching those episodes, you want to be in their shoes from the inside. Traveling is an opportunity to get to know a new culture. But it's not that simple...
Traveling is the best thing in the world.
Since school, I knew about exchange programs like FLEX and Work and Travel. But honestly, until a certain point, I didn't have a clear picture of how it all happens. Recently, over the weekend, I started watching blogs of people who had been to the States through the Work and Travel program. From their stories, a picture formed in my head, and I finally understood the base of how the whole process works.
I intended to apply next year and earn money for the fee this year. But seeing the contest, I didn't want to miss such a chance. And I want to dwell a little on some subheadings.
"Now and in the future"
It is the 21st century, and many already know about such exchange programs, but we don't always have enough courage and confidence. But I think with every generation we can notice that young people are open to change. They don't want to work in the same place for 10 or more years like our parents did. They always want some changes. And students often look for part-time jobs in the summer. And Work and Travel is a great opportunity to earn extra money and relax in the States in the summer. Now, when we see acquaintances participating in such programs, we are surprised, but in a few years, it will be common. And young people are very open to such changes, and at the same time, while developing, they travel and earn money.
How the exchange program would help me:
There are many advantages to an exchange program:
- to see the world, finally the places I only saw on TV
- new acquaintances with various interesting people
- to broaden my horizons
- to prove to myself that I can do anything
- to form as a personality
- to learn new languages
That is, all this means new emotions. A new you, and I have always heard that when a person starts traveling, they start to change themselves.
Traveling is also a kind of learning, that is, learning from the world and people.
