Indeed a tremendous experience of maturity, responsibility and independence and undoubtedly a great contribution to my life. My life motto: 'Travel while you're young'. Everyone experiences changes in life; of course, this trip is no exception. I would like to note that the program gives a unique opportunity to students and opens wide opportunities for them. I think that thanks to the program I will not only see America, but also undertake an interesting journey while working and improving my foreign language.
Let's start with why the state of Massachusetts and what prompted my decision? I find this state extraordinarily comfortable and cozy. The state is also called the intellectual center of America. My choice fell on the island of Cape Cod. Here you can find the most beautiful sunsets and the widest sandy beaches. Here you can watch whales and combine it with fishing. And Hyannis, the town on the island that I chose, captured my heart immediately. It is a summer beach on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, where I have never been. There you can feel an atmosphere of friendliness and hospitality. So many different people live there — representatives of different nations, races and faiths — and because of this it is so easy to feel your distinctiveness and uniqueness.
How do I imagine my trip? Enthusiastically taking the final exams, anticipating the best summer of my life. You sit in the kitchen with your parents and discuss your trip. You see pride in your parents' eyes for their child's dream that will soon come true. After all, the best feeling for parents is when their child is happy.
And now, we are already at the airport. There is neither anxiety nor fear in my soul, just a light flutter and excitement, the realization that you made it. Boarding the plane, I will be overwhelmed by a million emotions from within that I will not be able to describe. This will be my first flight by plane, my small step into free navigation.
Leaving the airport, I will already feel a different atmosphere and it will not immediately occur to me that I am on another continent, at the other end of this big world. The first thing that catches the eye is the people. How different and beautiful they are in their own way, their friendliness. People greet each other, smile, hold doors open and are not shy to compliment each other. This makes you feel very warm inside and you shine, smiling involuntarily.
Stepping out onto the street, you realize what kind of air, climate and everything around is here. You breathe that air and stand on the land you have dreamed of and striven for for so long.
Arriving in the city center to see all the tallest buildings of New York, I will forget about the existence of my phone. But remembering, I will send all this beauty to my parents. After all, without them, without their faith and hope in their eyes, I would have achieved nothing. Of course, the first days will be difficult due to acclimatization and jet lag, but there is a sort of peculiar excitement in that.
The first month is the most impressionable. I imagine meeting my employer, my colleagues at work and gradually getting used to my new American life. I watch the amazing everyday sights of America, the ability of people to rejoice at any little thing, the ability to turn every day into a celebration. I know I will love America for the incredible sense of freedom and for being able to rest well, have fun and simply spend time. After the first day of work, I imagine walking to the coast and seeing the ocean. My first ocean. The feeling that the world has frozen and time has stopped. I feel how beautiful and warm it is there.
The second month will be no less interesting. I imagine buying a ticket to a concert of my favorite performers Laszewo, which will take place in Boston. To realize that the band that reached out to help me at a turning point in my life will be singing right before my eyes. I will have the chance not only to attend the concert but also to see the beautiful city of Boston. I call Boston the 'capital monster'. The realization that it was here that the first world-class universities and the first libraries appeared. How can these facts not bring happiness to my face? This is truly the place where the future and the present meet. Modern parks and restaurants, museums and old markets.
The third month will probably be one of the hardest. You already understand that your work will soon end, you will say goodbye to the people who replaced your parents in a foreign country. But this is no reason to be sad, because life is a priceless gift, and working in America is an invaluable experience. You will realize that Americans are an interesting people and that this was an unforgettable experience, an amazing time on another continent that you will remember for life.
And then comes the moment and the time for travel. Now you can exhale and relax. I will be able to see everything I thought about and dreamed of, that I only saw in films, with my own eyes. A trip to the West: the Walk of Fame, Los Angeles, San Francisco, California. To see the famous places, Alcatraz, which is located in San Francisco. It is a prison from which it is impossible to escape. I consider this a unique place; if I am in America, I must visit it. Of course, Niagara Falls — it is so unusual that it flows between two countries. And Japan is another of my dreams, since America will become a key step toward it. And many, many interesting things.
The realization that you can now buy everything you wanted, give gifts to your loved ones and take a bunch of photographs for your memories.
In conclusion, this trip really changes a person's worldview. I am sure I will become more open and independent. I will become part of American culture, feel like one of them, learn all the nuances of life in this country by immersing myself in its culture and everyday life. And most importantly, I will make new acquaintances and friends not only from America but from all over the world.
