What does the future hold for these countries? Russia and America, the two largest superpowers, have at different times been both allies in the fight against a common enemy and irreconcilable rivals. What happens next? Partnership, or competition once again escalating into an arms race? I still hope that politicians will not create disasters to satisfy their own ambitions without considering the interests of the people. War has never brought people anything but grief, loss, and broken lives. We know this perfectly well, and politicians know it too. The belief that any conflict can be resolved peacefully is alive and will always live within us. Russia and the United States not only should, but must be partners in the fight against the world's greatest evil—terrorism. Only friendship and trusting relations between our states can change the world for the better and protect humanity from all the troubles that befall it. So it is time to stop looking at each other through a gun sight, time to say "no" to all contradictions and stop threatening everyone with the "red button," which, if pressed, would destroy the competitor in an instant. It does not matter who we are, Russians or Americans; what matters is that we, like a huge globe, hold the world in our hands, and we are all responsible for its fate. No one should forget this truth.

Students are the future builders of the planet and human destiny; having visited a country that all media scream about as the main enemy, they see that the same people live there as at home, in Russia—people who also care about what happens tomorrow and are ready to gladly extend a hand of friendship to you. Mired in stereotypes, we do not want to see that the world is changing, and people are changing too! Leave your doubts behind, open your heart to others, and you will see the changes for yourself.
- I have no doubt that this will be a time of great change. The scientific and technological revolution will drive progress far forward, and what we currently only see in science fiction films will soon become reality. By switching to environmentally friendly fuel, we will be able to preserve our nature, and our descendants will be able to breathe clean air. Finally, cures for AIDS and cancer will be invented, and those who were predicted to die soon just yesterday will receive hope for recovery. Of course, perhaps by that time flying cars will not appear and people will not have colonized the Moon and Mars, but the foundation for these scientific advances will be laid.
