I remember my last 2 days very well. 2 full work shifts, a side job, a wild beach again and meat from a campfire, a tropical rain, a drinking session at home.
When I left, everyone went to Masha's birthday party and I barely said goodbye to anyone. It felt like I wasn't going home, but on vacation... and they, my family, were staying here. And everything here is set up... home, work, friends, Yurka. But what's there - it's completely unclear.
I remember how Sashka, coming home, would shout from the doorway, "Hello family!" I remember Kostya now, always with a frying pan in which something delicious is cooking... the first time I came to the 40th, he and Vanka had burned the rice... I remember how we were happy for each other when someone found a job or just came home with good news.
And it doesn't matter that the last few days were hard for me because I couldn't sleep. I really wanted to go home... but even more, I want to go home to Seaside Avenue right now... where the girls from Liliuokalani are probably sitting again, or Sashka has come to catch the internet... or where Anton is sitting right now, telling everyone again how much Hawaii annoys him.
I am writing these last lines while sitting on the Chicago - Moscow flight.
On my last night in New York, I saw several hundred Russian guys who, just like me, were spending their last American hours.
I don't know what this trip will change in us. For the first time in my life, I ate an omelet (thanks Eldar). I cashed my first check and for the first time in my life, I turned the key of a cash register. I had never slept on the floor.
To everyone who was in Hawaii this summer - guys, thank you!
I am glad to have met you.
To Yurka, Ulyanochka and Katyusha, my dear roommates Katya, Vanya, Eldar, Denis, Sasha... to Kolya and Sashka, Mark, Denis and all the girls from Liliuokalani - Anyuta the blonde and Anyuta the brunette, Marinka, Mashunya. Thanks to Leshka and Felix, a big thank you to Zhenya and Nikita. Thanks to Kostya (a special thanks to your supplier))), thanks to Anton and Igor. Thanks to Arman for Ulyanka's good mood =))) Thanks to the big Dimka and "just Dimka", Vena and Kirill, and also to Polechka and Veruna.
I know that if you were writing diaries, they would be completely different. I didn't get on a surfboard, I didn't go to all the clubs, I didn't party with the locals, I was never arrested. I didn't go to restaurants and I didn't take home excess clothes. There is a lot I didn't manage to do. There is always something you didn't do.
But this summer is the best... but I wish you, wherever you are, to find the same emotions that we found there.
That's all =) Aloha and mahalo for your attention =)
