So, here it is! The turning point in the whole story, which hasn't even really started yet!
I feel like my blog is going to be the longest one ever! Because I don't want to miss even the smallest details!) I swiped some photos from Olya Tuluzova) First, I'll tell you about the road there.
Evening before departure. April 7th.
All the parents, or rather both of them, mom and dad, are nervous! But they are nervous in different ways.
Dad spends the whole evening with a face that clearly says, "Please, kind consular gentlemen, don't give my daughter a visa, I won't survive this!"
And mom is running around the apartment like a maniac, trying to pack as much food for me as possible) How can it be, my daughter will be hungry for 2 days! Oh my, oh my.
And I was SOOOO amused! First of all, I started imagining what would happen to them when I fly to AMERICA for 3 MONTHS!))))))) And secondly, mom's reaction amused me:
mom: Maybe I should pack you some more sandwiches?
me: maybe I should take a blanket with me on the bus too?
mom: AAA!!! WE DON'T EVEN HAVE A BLANKET!!! AAA!!!!!
ahahahaha))))) she's funny, I swear!
And I didn't even read the questions because I couldn't force myself to) I'm lazy, very lazy! But I watched the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's" in English, and quietly went to sleep!)))))
Morning. April 8th. I got ready, double-checked my documents about 20 times, packed a couple of sandwiches instead of a whole bag of food (if mom saw, she would have killed me), bought a bottle of mineral water, and went to the "Vostok" metro station near the National Library. At 14:45 we agreed with the guys we met beforehand to meet up and grab seats on the bus!)
Day. April 8th. There were a lot of buses. About 6-7. Big ones!! In front of the buses, we saw a large number of students) Many had blankets and pillows with them) And I was traveling light.
First, I had to go to the organizer, say my last name, and she gave out stickers with numbers! I got number 1-214.) While I was standing in line, Valentin, or Valik, saved 9 seats for all of us on the second bus) And I am grateful to him because it was WARM in that bus, even though guys from other buses complained about the cold and said they had to wrap their legs in jackets!)
Oh, yes... We gave our passports to the girl-organizer!)
When we crossed the Russian border, we were amazed by the FREE TOILET! At least I was! Okay, what's the big deal, so it's free, but there was a grandma sitting there who gave out toilet paper, there were many stalls, and even soap!))))))))))))) It's a pity it was the only free one)
We stopped every 2 hours, so no one really felt any discomfort!)
The series they put on in the bus, I don't think it interested anyone at all, especially me) I wasn't in the mood for movies))))) I looked through the questions, put them back in my bag, and around 12 midnight I dozed off) Just like everyone else, by the way) There was no fuss, no nerves)))
Around 4 AM I woke up. We were already in MOSCOW! First impression: "Come on, Liza, it doesn't really look that different from Minsk." And just as I said that, we drove into the center of Moscow, and I immediately said - "I take my words back!"
))))))))
We drove up to the embassy, and most of the students ran off to wander around night-time Moscow) Even though we didn't have our passports, or even our tickets! Unknown wandering objects, so to speak))))
Liza and I also went for a walk to stretch our legs!) even though it was 4 AM, Moscow was already waking up) Pie stalls were already getting ready for work, a "hellish" street sweeper truck was driving around, which we almost got hit by!))))))
Just as we walked back to the embassy, I saw the buses leaving! Liza started waving at the driver, he opened the doors and let us in))) Those who returned later were in shock: the bus had disappeared!) In reality, we just moved behind the embassy building)
Then we went and found a night cafe, where we asked to use the restroom (yeah, I'm being too specific here, right?)))))))) Although it was already closing, the kind manager let us in))))) Only the security guard was looking at us kind of strangely)))))
To be continued on the next page!)))))
