My morning thoughts:
Checked out of the hostel today. I'll probably stay at Barry's hotel tonight (the bed is huge, and the old guy is frail), and hopefully, I'll have a permanent place to stay by tomorrow. Eric is coming in half an hour to pick me up from my "dorm." Now Eric's "friends" (clients) call me often and invite me to cool places (bars, skateboarding). Yesterday I hit it off with the son of the Polynesian Cultural Center, he mentioned something about a boat for the weekend))
Although I'm not really interested in all this, I just arrived and I'm exhausted, I constantly want to sleep because of the fourteen-hour time difference with Moscow, the stress, and the uncertainty. The first week in America is coming to an end, and everything is still very confusing. I just want to write home that everything is fine. I miss the Russian language. The only person I speak Russian with is Lenka from New York; I am infinitely grateful to her for her support and long phone calls.
If I can hold on for a couple more days, I'll finally have a job and a place to live. The main thing is not to get into trouble before then. When they shoot up or swallow something in front of me, I always turn away so that later, if anything happens, I can say I didn't see anything and have no idea what they're talking about... and in general, I don't know what drugs are and my English is very bad. I wish he would get here already ((
