I already wrote that our hostel isn't the most wonderful place on earth, BUT a huge black beetle in the shower is just too much! When I saw it, I barely held back a scream, but I ran out of there really fast!
I registered on Couchsurfing. A family offered to let me stay with them for a week! Before coming here, I thought my English wasn't bad, but to be honest, I only started speaking yesterday and even then it was kind of clumsy, and I was silent all week... I guess I was in shock.
The day before yesterday we went to the movies! And I actually understood something!!!!
I met a guy here named Andrey, he's very nice, he helped me negotiate with the family I'm staying with now... you know, I didn't expect to end up in such a paradise after our hostel. I have my own room, my own shower, a pool right as you step out of the room, so it's actually quite nice here!
But the most important thing is that I understand what they are saying to me and they understand me, unlike the guys from the hostel... and in general in Cape Town. My sense of confidence that I can speak has even returned!
Today we went to look at apartments... We chose a house: a living room combined with a kitchen, very cute, and two bedrooms! For four people, I think it's an ideal option. It costs 7500 rand a month + electricity, which is about 10,000 rubles a month per person. The only thing left is to solve the work issue. Andrey looked at my CV and said it was total garbage and promised to redo it, so I'll be waiting!
Here in Cape Town, there is a very interesting bus system called MYCITY BUS, so these buses have a separate road and stops, something like a subway! In general, it's an interesting thing, I'll need to show off my knowledge at the institute later! Although, I still don't know if they gave me an academic leave!
But that's not important anymore, as Andrey says, Cape Town is a city that draws you in!
