After 2 months, my friend weighed the pros and cons and decided he'd had enough of America. His parents sent him money, he took a little trip, bought a plane ticket, and flew back home.
Now there were 4 of us left in our "khrushchevka". Well, 4... Sometimes phenomenal things happened: I'd fall asleep alone, and when I woke up, there would be 6 more people squeezed into 2 beds.
About the girls:
How they found work. The first one just went swimming in the ocean and accidentally ran into a restaurant owner. He offered her a job as a server. The second one went into a store to buy a swimsuit, the manager couldn't take his eyes off her and offered her a job too =)
For the first 3 weeks, my communication with them was going great, but then... Miami went to their heads. I guess it's hard to keep your self-esteem at a normal level when every guy in this city is literally kissing your feet. Guys, that's not very manly, is it? Anyway, the girls got arrogant and all sorts of arguments and misunderstandings started. I agree, I have plenty of flaws like everyone else, but sometimes it just got ridiculous. It was considered normal to stumble in drunk at 3 a.m. with a couple of guys, leaving dirty dishes and a mess behind. But, fortunately, this didn't happen that often. And there were plenty of positive moments in spending time together.
A couple of days after Dima left, his spot was taken by a guy we met at the hostel. His name was also Dima =) The sunny city didn't notice the swap, and everything went back to normal.
