Well, we finally got together!! We probably spent a week planning and planning... then we gave up on this trip to San Francisco & Las Vegas, when suddenly, like a bolt from the blue, on the second to last day, we decided to go!!!
Alinka and I quickly went to buy bags and pack our things (so that if we suddenly ran out of time, everything would already be packed) while Lesha and Zhorik went to rent a car.
We decided to rent a VAN since the cost was the same as if we had taken a Toyota Camry (2008) or a large GMC van. We immediately called our Belarusian friends, Amir and Denis, and said, "Get ready, you have half a day!" They were in shock, saying they needed to think about it (deep down we hoped they would go, because a van for 9 people means the more people, the cheaper it is and the more fun it will be!).
We met up by 7! The first thing we decided to do was stop by the MTV Music Awards, since it was on our way, and we couldn't miss such an event, but what a disappointment it was when we found out that all the stars had arrived about 35 minutes ago, and that we were late because the extras had already been selected (a pity, and we had been planning this part of our trip for a long time).
Well, nothing to do, we hit the road and were already racing towards the nearest supermarket... to stock up on food (since there were many of us and it was a long way) and beer!
We were driving full speed so that by 3 AM we would be in Las Vegas to go play, have fun, and just party in this crazy city!
We were driving along the infamous Route 66, which runs through the desert!
But that wasn't it; on the approach to LV, our tire just blew out (probably because we were driving at 160 km/h the whole time + the asphalt was still very hot, it was a desert after all). Luckily it was a rear tire, and at that very moment, Lesha wasn't driving that fast!
We got out and started thinking about what to do. We struggled with how to change the tire; in Russia, it's simple: unscrew, remove, screw back on, but here the tire was all tucked away on the undercarriage. We struggled and struggled, and then someone had a brilliant thought: THIS IS AMERICA, THERE MUST BE SOME BUTTON TO PRESS AND THAT'S IT! And that's how it turned out. We quickly changed the tire and drove to Las Vegas!
Driving into Las Vegas, we deliberately slowed down to fully enjoy the view of Las Vegas!!!
This is probably one of the most beautiful cities in the world, in my opinion!!! Lights, advertisements, signs everywhere, plus in Las Vegas you can find almost all the cities of the world! From Venice and Paris to New York and the Egyptian pyramids!! How can you not fall in love with this!
So we were driving through the city with our mouths open until we decided to stop near the Eiffel Tower on the main street of the city, the busiest part called the Las Vegas Strip or just the Strip. We started taking pictures of everything like crazy. It's just some kind of paradise! We went to the Colosseum, then the Egyptian pyramids, then the Bellagio Casino, with its dancing fountains, the eighth wonder of the world!!
We met a Russian businessman there who gave us a small tour of the Bellagio!
My head is spinning from all this and my feet are falling off... let's go play in the casino!!!! Play and win!!
We went to play at Caesar's Palace and as Caesar said, "I came, I saw, I conquered"))) although we didn't win for long)))) Since everyone was 21 except for me and Alinka, the casino staff asked us to show our ID, otherwise we could only be near the machines, but not play... but we still managed to play the slot machines and even win $50.
The guys from Belarus went to play poker and blackjack at the table (that's the real thrill)!!!
And then we went to eat at one of the buffets and ate until our stomachs were about to burst (anyone who knows will understand, what wasn't there: shrimp, steaks, and everything, everything, everything!!)
