Yesterday Rich and I went to look at another place. But after seeing it, I decided to move in with my grandma after all, since I can basically get to work by bike in about 30-40 minutes or by bus. The only downside is that she doesn't have Wi-Fi, which isn't great, since I only have my tablet with me, and I can't connect a wired internet cable to it. And I need internet—my parents and my boyfriend panic if I don't text them for more than a day) But I don't have another option for now, so at least for the first month, I'll be living with my grandma. And for internet, I can use McDonald's or Starbucks)
I packed my things, and Richard drove me to my grandma's. Then we started figuring out the bike situation. At first, I wanted to buy a used one because Rich's bike, which he wanted to give me, was too big for me—I couldn't reach the pedals with my feet) But then a coincidence helped. For the first time since I'd been living at Rich's, I started talking to his father. I told him about my plans to buy a bike. And he suddenly remembered they had another bike! Which fit me perfectly) Yeah, it's really useful to talk to Americans)
Rich and I got on our bikes and rode to my new home. Along the way, Richard gave me a tutorial on how to ride a bike, and I, in turn, was remembering how it's done) After all, I haven't ridden a bike in probably 7-10 years))) And apparently, it was noticeable, because Richard looked at my driving attempts with such apprehension and tried to talk me out of biking to work. Well, what can I do, I'm scared to ride it too, but I have to get to work somehow) At first, I'll learn the route to work, but for now, I'll take the buses. But that means spending money, and their schedule is stupid—only until 7 PM. I asked my boss to set my schedule until 7 PM, but he said he couldn't promise anything.
But at least there's one plus—with this expensive housing, I have an incentive to look for a 2nd job. It would be great to find a job near home, work the 1st job in the morning and the 2nd in the evening, so I don't have to travel anywhere. But who the hell knows how it will turn out.
