Like in any blog, I should probably start by introducing myself. My name is Nikita and I'm from Barnaul. If anyone doesn't know, it's the capital of the Altai Krai, how about that=)

I'll probably start with how it all began... a preface, so to speak...) About a year and a half ago, I heard that there was a program where students from Russia go to the USA to spend the summer there. I didn't know the details and wasn't interested at the time, although now I think I was a complete fool because I didn't realize I could have gone a year ago... Anyway, this autumn my classmate decided to go and, you could say, infected me with this dream (the most interesting thing is that he isn't going in the end, but I am already on the other side of the planet with all my heart).

I just got wildly excited about it. At first, there were nights when I only dreamed about it, thought about what it would be like there, where I would work, how much money I would get for the summer xD I didn't tell my parents right away because I was afraid they would refuse me, since the money is quite significant... But to my great joy, not only did they approve, but they almost took me by the hand to the center myself=) Especially my mom, who has currently buzzed my ears off about sharks, tsunamis, etc., etc...) Anyway, I paid the first installment and then what followed was something I couldn't have foreseen...=)
