Life is getting better! (c)
Hmm! My English level isn't as bad as it seemed after the first interview! The second (hopefully final) interview took place... and how did it go? Like this!
As you know, he kept blowing me off for almost a month. I wrote an email (a very angry one) and we agreed on a call. 9 PM for him and 5 AM for me. At first, I didn't want to go to sleep at all, but then I decided that an alarm clock is everything and hit the sack.
I jumped up at 4:45, washed up, got myself ready (good thing I didn't put on makeup... I had that thought though =)), and sat down to wait. I waited for half an hour and then it happened!
My Petya is sitting in his restaurant, quiet and calm. The atmosphere isn't exactly what I imagined, but it's very cute. Tables along the wall, just like in the movies: where the back of one seat is the back of another; little vases with flowers on the tables, blue lights... overall, I liked it)
When we started talking, I was scared at first that I wouldn't understand anything again... It turned out it wasn't as bad as the first time. Either he remembered he was talking to a Russian girl, or I pulled all my English together, but we had a quite nice conversation, understanding each other and smiling at jokes. The first question Petya asked me was: Where will I live? To which I replied that he supposedly found some friend there who would rent me a FLOOR of his house... But Petya said the friend's house is 10 km from the restaurant... and PROBABLY it wouldn't be very convenient for me to commute back and forth. No kidding! They all drive cars and have long forgotten that some people can walk. So he suggests living in his house (I'll have to pay rent, of course, it would be strange if I didn't). All amenities are there (private bathroom) and most importantly, even in Petya's opinion, there is internet!)) So, it seems my blog will be written not only in Russia but right from the scene.
Next, we discussed transport, salary, and everything else. So I'm proud of myself for not losing my cool in a stressful situation (5 AM, English language) and for being charming and sweet))
So, there are only a few "obstacles" left on the path to success: the consulate and agreeing with the sponsor that I won't go to Virginia Beach, but to lovely New Hampshire.
Good luck to everyone, stay positive, and enjoy the spring!))
