I want to say in advance that the photo on the page is a bit off-topic, as I am going to write about Central Park. But... I can't do anything about it, as I've been having problems uploading photos and videos for 4 days now.
So...
Central Park in New York is the most famous park in the world. The rectangular park, covering more than three square kilometers, is located in Manhattan. It was made famous by filmmakers who show it in their movies very often. The park generates a huge income, as twenty-five million people visit it every year.
My first acquaintance with this magnificent place happened on my second day in NYC. At first, I didn't really want to go there. I mean, it's just a park... so what? Everyone is running, just like usual. In the afternoon, we met up with a friend (who lives in NYC) and went there)))
You know, this park is very unusual. As we approached, I saw these huge stones, almost cliffs)))) we ran, climbed up there, and I saw all this beauty.
To our right was a pond of extraordinary beauty, where couples in love, whether young or old, were rowing boats. You can hear the quacking of ducks swimming by. Someone is sitting near the pond trying to feed one of these ducks. Others are just walking around.
To the left was a small playground. What shocked me the most was the surface. No, not ordinary grass, not ordinary asphalt. You could walk barefoot on this surface, and it was so pleasant. Every time you stepped, it felt like you were sinking into it, it was so soft)))
Small fountains, which, as Americans love, spray at the most inopportune moment. Children are running and playing, and their parents are sitting together discussing something.
And if you go straight, you will get to an alley where Americans and visitors love to go for their jogs and ride bicycles. By the way, you can rent them right across the street from the park.
We set our eyes on the swings))) Each of us chose our own. It was super cool.
Central Park is densely planted with trees and other vegetation. Zhenya said that there are tons of squirrels here. And half of them are somehow mutated)))
So. Here, during lunch, bank employees relax and feed the squirrels. These charming rodents are a real scourge of New York and its parks. There are several thousand of them in Central Park.!!!!!
For some reason, the city authorities consider them a symbol of the "wild nature" that needs to be taken care of in the middle of the "concrete jungle". Just try to shoo a squirrel away, and old ladies will immediately run up with reproaches, or even the police. But the animals themselves are not afraid of anything. While walking in Central Park, we saw a squirrel take a candy from a toddler. The toddler started crying. And the squirrel sat down to play with its trophy right by the stroller. )))
Anyway, guys, if you are in New York, don't pass it by))
