Thought one. "America for Americans"
At JFK airport, standing in a mile-long line for passport control:
- Oh... look, the second circle of hell has begun...
- Yeah... and how many are there in total? Seven, as usual?)
- ...)))
- You know, at least I'm glad that my religion allows me to walk with an open face, not wear a burqa, and not draw anything on my forehead.
Thought two. "The whole truth about the american smile"
There is no such thing as an american smile. If you're unlucky, the dialogue goes like this:
- Where can i buy the tickets of JetBlue?
- ...heb... rfg... kh... bevbdfvpsb
- Can you repeat, please?
- ...heb... rfg...
- Thank you.
Thought three. "On political correctness"
In some New York neighborhoods, white people greet each other out of solidarity)
- Just be careful with housing there, don't move into some black neighborhood.
... - Don't you think it's all black people around?...
... - What neighborhood are we living in?... Harlem?)))
Thought four. "New York-New York. Too big to say it once"
- I'm speechless!!! Give me the camera!
- Take it.
- I feel more significant with it)
- And I feel lighter without it)))
....
8 hours later:
- You know, I think it's your turn to feel more significant...)
Sitting in the hostel. The TV is reporting the latest news. We walked for 9.5 hours and I'm incredibly tired. I want to write and tell you so much, but I only have enough energy for exclamation marks and ellipses... It's just incredible here)
