"America is a country where dreams become reality with just two 'ifs': - you have money, - you have connections. Other countries require even more 'ifs'."
"You should go to America with two things: either brains or money."
"All people are divided into 2 types: those who criticize America before moving to the USA and those who criticize America after moving to the USA."
America is a land of great opportunities. That's what I thought when I first went to the USA as a green 3rd-year student.
After 2 years, I still hold this view. Two summers spent in the States changed my life 180 degrees. The experience I gained there is incomparable. And I consider it my duty to share my experience with students who are planning to go to the USA in 2011, 2012, etc.
I don't want people to make the same mistakes I did. That's why I created this blog. I will start my story about the summer of 2010 from beginning to end in chronological order: buying tickets, the first hellish month in the States, buying a car, the hospital, court, getting a driver's license, and I'll finish with the most interesting part - a trip from NC to CA and back to NC.
I hope it will be very interesting.
I'd love to see more comments from you.
Hey ho, let's go...
