"In Search of Freedom or My Big American Adventure"
PROLOGUE.
New York, New York...
I had heard a lot about this city before, but I had never been there until last summer. And my dream to see the City That Never Sleeps came true on June 17, 2008, thanks to the Work and Travel USA program.
I must say that my path to the American Dream was thorny, but the main thing is that
I DID IT)))))
So when I sat in the seat of an Airbus A320, I felt... it cannot be described in words))))))
Takeoff... The plane leaves the ground... Bye, Russia! America, I'm flying to you))
I look out the porthole: the waves of the Atlantic shimmer in the sun below... The pilot announces: "Altitude 10,000 meters, outside temperature is minus 57 degrees Celsius." And I still can't believe my luck...
But then the East Coast appears in the distance, the plane descends, and I can already make out the straight lines of highways, houses that look like toys, cars shining in the rays of the setting sun... It was like Sims 2)
Landing... JFK Airport, NYC... I'm here... I go through passport control and now I'm standing in front of the airport exit, here my Big American Adventure began for me!
And those who have been there will understand me, and those who haven't - I highly recommend visiting...)
Why did I go to America? Because of its beauty, money, language practice, new acquaintances, unforgettable impressions...? Yes!
But the most important thing is that FEELING OF FREEDOM that grips you when you stand on the shore of Miami Beach, when you look at the majestic Capitol building, when you walk along Broadway... When you realize that YOUR LIFE IS IN YOUR HANDS!
And it's worth flying to America for that!
It's worth it...
