Now I want to share some tips with you regarding the visa application process.
This is a rather boring stage on the way to getting a visa, but as practice shows, it is inevitable)
A student is assigned a time and date for an interview after completing the application form. All applicants must fill out the DS-160 visa application electronically directly on the website https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/.
Instructions for filling it out are available to every participant on their personal page on the website http://exchange.iec.ru. Everything is described and explained in detail there.)) After filling out the DS-160 form, the information will be sent electronically. After submitting the information, the applicant must print out the confirmation page. This page contains the applicant's personal information, as well as a barcode with the confirmation number.
By the way, a small tip: save the entered data frequently, as the site often reloads. You can then upload the previously saved data directly on the site and continue filling it out from where you left off.
It is also better to fill out the form using the FireFox browser http://www.mozilla-europe.org/ru/firefox/ As practice has shown, this browser is the best assistant for filling out the form in terms of stable performance))
The application requires a 5x5 photo in electronic format and a printed copy. Do not forget to print the application itself and take it to the interview – so you don't forget any data, as questions will be asked based on your application.
You also need two copies of the confirmation of completion, one for yourself for the interview, and the other for the International Exchange Center.
That's it, we are waiting for the interview date. Found out))) we rejoice.
Collecting documents:
- Russian passport
- International passport (you give it to the International Exchange Center when submitting documents to the embassy)
- Record book (extended session, stamp and all teacher signatures, no debts)
- Student ID
- Job offer (if you have one, but it's better if you do)
- Certificate from the dean's office (issued in the same month as the interview)
- Printout of the application
- Printout of the application confirmation
- Printout of our rights in the USA

10. If you are a final-year student, don't forget that you need to prepare a motivation letter for your visa documents, in which you will tell the consul about the expediency of your participation in the program after graduating from the university, and also describe in detail your plans upon returning. A letter from an employer in Russia where you will work upon your return or a certificate from the university where you will continue your studies in graduate school are also mandatory.
11. Other certificates that you think will be useful to you at the embassy
Well, that's it, now that our interview date is known, we can relax, because everything is in order with us) only a small thing remains! Let's go))
