Sunny Hollywood!
I was always amazed at how we managed to leave for somewhere again! And now, as usual:
we ran to the necessary hotel in Vegas 5 minutes before departure time! Wandering from corner to corner, nervously looking for something that looked like an exit to the buses! The bewildered eyes of the woman registering hotel guests:
"A bus to Los Angeles???? Maybe you need the airport? You must be mistaken..."
Everything is clear, they sit in one place and don't know a damn thing. We quickly ran out to the parking lot, a bunch of Chinese people on a bench... "Phew! We made it! They are definitely with us."
And right then, the familiar China bus pulls up, we jump into our seats joyfully)
Cheerful songs by the band "I am from Barcelona" on the way... and by evening we are already in famous California!!! Although in some strange place...
in a small gray Chinatown. Damn... how do we get from here to a NORMAL city???
Without a car, there's nothing to do here, everyone kept telling us!
And it was as if someone heard us, a call to Ira's mobile:
- Hi!
- Hi)
- This is Pasha from the forum, are you in LA now?
- Pasha? Yeah, we're pulling up somewhere)
That's how useful it is to post ads on the www.iec.ru forum.
We were offered to team up for a trip around Los Angeles by car and get out of this Chinese den)
Of course, you don't refuse such offers)
Everything was going great, except for our stomachs growling from hunger! That's what I love about the Chinese, it's their cheap eateries!
We went into a small cafe, barely managing to explain ourselves to a Chinese woman, we randomly pointed our fingers at something that looked like food))
We had a little snack while waiting for our new acquaintances) We booked a room in a hotel across the street, it turned out to be quite inexpensive and cozy)
The guys inspired confidence at first sight. Such simple, normal Russian students, not at all like maniacs!
It took a long time to get to the city's Downtown because of one annoying "lady" from the GPS navigator who kept recalculating the route!
When, in theory, it was enough to just drive to the biggest skyscrapers and that's it, but the boys only listened to the "lady"!
Nighttime Los Angeles disappointed us! Only occasionally were there lonely people and cars on the streets - completely dead!
How can that be, it's only late evening, and where are the parties at every step, this is California!!!
We were slightly cheered up by a chance encounter with food!!! After filming some show, there were some buffet tables left) Kind men loading everything into cars offered us to eat! We took plates and piled everything we saw onto them, grabbing a couple of yogurts and fruits!
We only had one day at our disposal to see all the most interesting places that Los Angeles is famous for - the Hollywood area and the beaches!
We didn't have enough time or money for a tour of the film studios!
First of all, we went to the famous Walk of Fame! I didn't imagine there were 2,500 stars there!
In a long search for at least one famous star, we walked for about an hour, stopping by souvenir shops along the way to buy our favorite magnets and a couple of T-shirts)
The place with the most famous stars is impossible to miss! Crowds of tourists, constantly pestered by the most famous movie characters: Spider-Man, Batman, Jack Sparrow, Jigsaw, the Tin Man...
I, naively thinking it was all free, took a photo with Marilyn Monroe, who then wouldn't leave until she got her coveted dollar!
We took a lot of photos with the stars, but unfortunately, I never found Brad Pitt...(
We persuaded the boys to drive us a little closer to the Hollywood sign so we could at least photograph it from afar!
You could say that all tourists come to them for the sake of a photo, and in truth, there is nothing special about them, just ordinary letters on a hill!
Then our path lay through the most famous streets and districts of Hollywood: Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Sunset Blvd...
and many other names that everyone has heard of, thanks to movies and TV shows!
We only had time to turn our heads from the car windows and take crooked photos)
The only downside to the magnificent beaches of Los Angeles is the cold water of the Pacific Ocean!
Probably only Russian students can dare to swim here! We weren't particularly drawn to the water, we just sunbathed on Malibu beach, watching the skillful tricks of the surfers, and finishing another bottle of Corona)
At the end of the day, we managed to look at the endless ocean from the height of a large mountain!
The whole charm of Los Angeles is in its sunniness and lightness, due to the wonderful combination of tall, luxurious palm trees, bright pink shrubs against the backdrop of snow-white houses and a blue sky!
That's what it's like... the City of Angels!
