So, I've started a blog! A foreword.
LAST SUMMER flew by so fast! All that's left is a bunch of memories, friends scattered almost all over the world, gigabytes of photos and videos, but not a single post.
I remember it like it was yesterday, sitting with an old friend at a MacCafe in Moscow before my flight, and she asks:
- How long are you going for?
- Almost 3 months!
- 3 months? That's so much time! What are you going to do there?
- I don't know)
She would only find out later that I really didn't know. I had a fake job offer, meaning I basically didn't have a real job, no friends to chase the American dream with, I had nothing and I was heading into the unknown!
No... I'm lying, I had a few phone numbers: some hostel in New York (just in case), a friend of my good friends who had been there for a few weeks (in case the hostel fell through), and a guy I was on the same flight with (we met on the IEC forum, huge respect to them for that).
Anyway, that summer was one of the best in my life. Everything turned out roughly as I expected. Problems with the offer, moving the date a week later than planned, missing the registration, and... a "fateful" meeting during the flight, which ultimately determined my fate for the coming summer.
You never know what lies ahead, especially if you're not 100% sure about tomorrow. BELIEVE ME, something like this... IN YOUR ADVENTURES... will... definitely happen!!! )))
THE UNKNOWN! It pulls me in, and I hope it does the same for you! It excites and thrills, sometimes it pushes you away, but still... you want to know it and conquer it. That's why I went... and why I'm going now.
This blog is about the SUMMER OF 2009! I don't want to lose it... I don't want to just look at photos stupidly and smile! I want to feel and relive it!!!!!!!!!
Let's begin.
I don't know how to write... or at least, I think I don't... but when I pick up a pen or sit down at the computer, it just happens on its own))) Whether I'm writing a letter or commenting on something... different words pop into my head... sometimes beautiful, sometimes not, but they are there... and I have something to say!
Work, and especially studies, take up almost all my time right now. There's simply not enough of it! It seems to me that only at a more or less mature age does a person begin to understand the meaning of phrases like "Time is money" or "Time is an unaffordable luxury," so you have to use it... while you have it! And I decided to write here whenever I have a free minute. It will be USEFUL for me.
I will compare This Summer with the last one, because it's just so interesting... how everything will turn out now and I know... how it was back then!
