Waiting is killing me) This phrase has probably crossed the minds of many Work and Travel USA participants. Waiting for the trip itself, waiting for ticket confirmation, but right now the most important thing is waiting for the visa. So many fears and worries. And it would be fine if I didn't know the language well) Then I would spend whole days repeating words, rehearsing answers for the embassy. But I'm just afraid of bad luck) Oh, I need to stop reading the internet at night) for some reason, it's at this time of day that I come across stories of participants who just didn't get lucky.
I'm going to the USA to fulfill my American dreams and not just American ones) I want an unforgettable trip) And I'm sure it will be exactly that)
South Carolina, Surfside Beach, wait for us!))
And again I wait and again I hope =)
For the hundredth time I regretted not going through the official agency. Of course, our organizers are also great, but such pleasant "little things" like a first-day guide in New York or, even more so (!) meeting participants at the airport - that's worth a lot)
Plane ticket for May 23rd. And there is still no visa. The embassy scheduled the next interview date for May 14th, but it's still unknown if they will call me or not. If not, then... it will be very unpleasant)
Your visa is approved) The cherished words that all Work and Travel participants want to hear -) I heard them on May 19th, around 8 a.m.)
To say it was simple is an understatement. Only those whose English is absolutely zero wouldn't be able to answer questions about who you are, where you're from, and what you're going to do in the USA)
We met at the embassy at 6:30. They did a roll call, numbered us, lined us up, and here we were, already in the embassy) Everything is so unusual and exciting -) Fingerprints were hard for me)) For some reason, the scanner didn't want to read my thumbs at all) And then it turned out that in their computer I am Alina, not Alyona) But as I was told, that's nonsense) I hope there won't be any mistakes in the visa))
But there is also not very good news - my flight was moved from May 23rd to June 1st =( The embassy won't have time to prepare the documents by May 23rd, so I have to wait another week. But I settled this issue with the employer, it seems everything is fine) This worried me the most)
ps/ Chaliapin is located in front of the embassy (a man sitting on a log) =) In principle, no other monuments were noticed, so you will find it =)
