Quest 6. Driver's License
Even if you have never driven a car in your life and don't know the first thing about it (like, for example, VPS), know this: a car is definitely and without question the best way to get around the USA. It's better than planes because of their rigidity and the inability to get where you want spontaneously and conveniently, better than buses because you can stop to pee, better than trains because of the A/C, and even better (forgive me, Harry Potter fans) than magic brooms because it has a heater and a place to sleep. Our driver's licenses with an international duplicate work easily in America. I got both in Russia a month before departure (by buying them under the table, but still=)) and was happy as can be. International permits are bought at the traffic police office for about 100 rubles and, strangely enough, are made in 1 day. More on buying a car and the nuances of dealing with local police later.
And anyway, we've been stuck on theory for too long... Enough rambling - let's go!!!))
