Well, the day has finally arrived. Yesterday I said goodbye to my family and boarded the Samara – St. Petersburg train. The train ride is nice, but there's a draft from the window—I can't afford to get sick right now—so I wrapped myself up all night to avoid it. It's sunny outside, and I think St. Petersburg will greet me with good weather. It's my first time in St. Petersburg, it should be interesting.
Yes, today is a significant day for me—I'm turning 21, and for the first time, I'm spending this day alone. Everything happens for the first time eventually. I'm heading to the USA for the first time, and it's my first time being away alone for so long. What should I expect? New experiences, new impressions!
I think this trip is invaluable in terms of gaining new skills. And it will be a good lesson in my life.
Will I break? Will I be able to prove myself? I am in my own hands. Everything that happens depends only on me and luck.
