It's been a while since I posted anything about nature. Here, I swam in the ocean for the first time and breathed in the ocean air. I sat on the rocks and listened to the sound of the waves. You can come home from work in the evening, step out onto the balcony, and hear that amazing sound of the ocean. Even at the museum (the first lighthouse in Maine), they sell a CD with the sound of the ocean; I'm thinking about buying it.
Access to the beach is paid, but you can stay as long as you like for a flat fee of 4 dollars. The sand is pristine; there are no cigarette butts or trash lying around anywhere. The water temperature here is like our Baltic Sea—you can definitely take a swim.
After the beach, like a civilized person, you can take a shower, wash your feet, and head off to your business feeling clean. One can only dream of when they'll do something like this in Zelenogradsk =))
