Almost everyone dreams of visiting Disneyland. Having watched The Little Mermaid, Snow White, and Mickey Mouse in my childhood, I firmly decided back then that I had to go to the land of dreams, fairy tales, and eternal joy!!!!
The very first Disney park was built right here in California on July 17, 1955. In 2005, the park turned 50, and Arnold Schwarzenegger called the park "the engine that drives the economy and tourism business in California" at the anniversary celebration. Initially, an entrance ticket to the park cost only one dollar, now it is 45 for the whole day. But even today, visitors are greeted at the entrance by Snow White, Cinderella, Pinocchio, and other Disney characters.
Disney is a world where you want to stay forever and never grow up, just like in Peter Pan. )))
Disney in California is located quite far away. 50 miles from LA! And it's very difficult to get there without a car!
Finally, we arrived, parked in the huge Disneyland parking lot, then boarded a long train, and it took us towards the main entrance. The entrance ticket cost about $45 and we went for a walk. The territory of the California Disneyland is approximately 4 times the size of Gorky Park in Moscow.
There is no point in describing all the attractions, and it's better to "see once than hear a hundred times," but my legs were dead after five hours or more of walking. I will tell you about just a few:
Indiana Jones Adventure (through a labyrinth in a car that runs on rails) - not bad, Pirates of the Caribbean (you float in a boat around the scenery), Splash Mountain (an attraction where you are dropped in a boat from a slide) - terribly wet))) It was hot outside, but the water, alas, was cool.
Disneyland is divided into sections, we liked Tomorrowland the most - thematic attractions about the future. The coolest one there is Space Mountain. It's a roller coaster in an enclosed space that simulates a starry sky. There was also a cool 3D cinema. Star Tours (tours of the Star Wars universe) did not impress.
In one day, of course, you won't be able to see EVERYTHING, and you don't want to rush. You can stay at the official Disneyland hotel, to which a high-speed train runs directly from the park. The price was $120 per night, but what money can compare to the pleasure you will experience after visiting this eighth wonder of the world.
Long lines for the most popular attractions are regulated simply. The entrance ticket, which gives the right to all pleasures for the day, is punched with a time indicator. At that hour, you can go without waiting in line. Don't like this option? Wait right now, the estimated waiting time is indicated at the entrance. It passes unnoticed; on the way to the cherished goal, you are not bored by video clips setting the mood for the attraction, music, special effects, etc. Gentle water spraying from somewhere above helps to endure the heat, and you can alternate entertainment: underground, aerial, water. Overheated? Run underground or take a boat along a man-made river.
It is impossible to get lost: besides the map given to everyone at the entrance, signs are everywhere. You don't want to throw trash on the ground - there are bins at every step. Want to drink? Here is a special fountain!!! Want to eat? Anywhere and anything - from chips and cola from a stall to lunches in restaurants.
For the disabled - free wheelchairs, for infants - changing tables in the cleanest free toilets.
They don't sell alcohol or cigarettes here, but adults are as happy as children without any doping. It's never boring or bad here. You want to stay longer, but every holiday eventually ends.
