Hello, my dears!
Oh, I apologize for such a long break.
Recently, I wrote a huge page, added photos, saved everything, logged in, and it... didn't save!
I got offended and couldn't bring myself to come here)
But now, it seems, the blog and I have made up. And I will tell you how everything is.
So, I am still a dependent. Yes, yes, work doesn't want to come to me. Or maybe I'm not trying hard enough, I don't know. But you have every reason to stop respecting me, because I've been idle for a month now!
I have plenty of free time, so I decided to visit some museums.
The first one I came across was the National Gallery of the Republic of South Africa.
For 20 rand, or about 80 rubles, they let me inside.
After our museums, filled with classical painting, the African museum made a strange impression on me.
Well, that's understandable!
There are only about four picturesque paintings in the entire gallery.
Lots of photography and graphic art.
Several halls are dedicated to sketches and drafts of national costumes.
In the last century, there was a very talented traveler who traveled all over Africa. She drew the outfits of ordinary residents, chiefs, warriors, and children. It's very interesting to look at everything! And under each drawing, there is a detailed description of what this or that element of clothing means.
In other halls, a collection of works from a French festival or something like that was exhibited. I'm a layman in this field, what can you do)
It was strange and funny here.
These are entire installations! With music, video, photos, movements, etc.
For example, there is a hall with thirteen wooden columns reaching the ceiling. Each column is a new tree. It smells like it does in our art school) from the easels!
And what do you think I found there?
Of course, a Russian artist!
A video about his projects and work is playing on one of the TVs.
And next to it is a portrait and a description. And instead of a biography, it says something like:
"Cape Town! All Russian people know about this city from the famous song 'In the Cape Town Port.' Therefore, we think that South Africa is about adventures, travels, and other pleasant things."
That's how it is!))
In general, the museum is small and quite cozy.
