It's 12:30. My throat is killing me, and my nose is running. Yeah, looks like it's serious after all; I'll have to get treated again. I found some sea salt here, so I'll gargle with that. But one way or another, I have to go to work. Mexicans are an interesting bunch. Even though they grab their crotch every 2 minutes, and their funniest "joke" is grabbing each other's junk (sorry, ladies), they're still good guys. They actually wanted to learn Russian! At the very beginning, everything was harmless - 'spasibo' (thank you), 'doska' (board), 'obezyana' (monkey). But then it started - 'piska' (dick), 'pior' (fggot), '*opa' (ass), and all that stuff. They even broke the word 'izvini' (sorry) into 3 parts - 'iz', 'vi', 'ni' (meaning he pulls 'vi' from the very bottom 'iz' and gives you 'ni'). Do I judge them? Probably not. We are all different, we all have different interests, jokes, and topics for discussion. In the end, we are influenced by the environment we live in, the people around us, and the situation we are in. You can't expect a homeless person to discuss Picasso, make jokes about Greek style, or have an opinion on Indira Gandhi. It's the same here. The main thing is to try not to 'dissolve' in this environment (like the zemstvo doctor in A.P. Chekhov's story, I don't remember which one, when he turned from a 'living' person into a 'dead' creature after a couple of years).
It was also interesting to see how our manager depicted Helber - first he drew 2 ovals side by side, I didn't understand what it was. Then small legs and a head under the ovals. And finally, small arms holding these 2 ovals. For those who didn't get it, the 2 ovals are 2 buttocks, symbolizing that Helber is always kissing up to everyone. That's the kind of managers we have: one was almost sued for harassment, the other 2 are great guys, but they also have their quirks. But, as the charter says, 'Rule 1: the commander is always right; Rule 2: if you doubt the correctness of the commander's actions or decisions, see rule 1'.
