"Who is the happiest person on earth? Today, that fate has fallen to me!" (c) Kasta
Do you remember the last time you jumped around the house with joy, shouting and dancing at the same time? Well, I did today! WOO-HOO!!!!! Contract status - OK!
Now about the path, through thorns to the stars.
I started looking for job offers back in October, first through the j1jobs site, sending them to practically everyone, but when there was no one left to send to, I decided to use Google Earth. You open the city you're interested in, mark cafes, hotels, shops (or whatever interests you), and voila... everything is shown on the map. I was interested in the state of NJ, somewhere by the ocean. Cafes. We open the website of a suitable cafe, look for 'contact us', write an email... and wait...
Who said you need to send 500 emails to get a positive response?! They were very wrong! I probably sent 3,000 emails! Actually, I sent so many emails every day until my inbox got blocked and told me to wait 24 hours! But in the end, they replied from the 'first batch of emails'. Ventnor City, it's not far from Atlantic City, in my opinion, a very cute and family-friendly cafe, especially since they've had exchange students working there before, and they don't mind taking my friend Masha too!))
Cool, cool, cool!!!
"What do you need me to fill out for you?" - that's roughly what the boss asked, even before the New Year. Well, I explained everything to him in detail. He said, "Okay, no problem." But what is "no problem" for an American is a huge problem for a Russian!
In short, he spent another month filling them out for us, and in the end, on 01/19, the JOs appeared on our site, filled out a bit crookedly, but that's okay. The agency says everything is cool, no need to refill anything, unless it's for ourselves. Well, we don't need that) And then... all these new innovations, new forms, new rules - we need to refill it! Urgently!
Our George (the boss - sounds cool) is vacationing in Europe and isn't planning on refilling anything. I attacked him with emails and messages almost every day. On March 15th (the deadline for submitting the JO!), he writes: "Okay I will today, also someone called me from IEC and I need to send them some info today! It is difficult cause I work so much, I don't have lots of time."
I felt a bit relieved, but the agency in Perm didn't stop calling and saying that not everything was good.
We call the boss, he says something like, "I don't understand why you're demanding I refill it, IEC NY said everything is fine and I don't need to do anything else." So how can you be here?! We just wait...
And today, 03/28, the OK appeared!!!!! 2 months and 9 days have passed! Oh, my nerves! Why did you have to torture me like that!?
P.S. By the way, all our boys have NO =( that is not good!
