Finally got around to starting a blog. Hi everyone! As is tradition, let me introduce myself - my name is Natasha, I'm 21, and I'm a psychology student.
I got hooked on this trip suddenly and spontaneously - I heard from my boyfriend that there was an opportunity to fly to America. At first, it seemed unreal to me (as it probably does to many). But for me, it was unreal because I had to drastically change my life if I wanted to go. Plus, considering that I haven't asked my parents for money since I was 16, and I even pay for university myself, I had to earn the money for the program on my own. And that, while studying full-time, is quite problematic) (I don't like skipping classes and I love to study. Yes, yes, I'm weird)))
But the idea of taking off and flying to America, living an independent life, breaking out into another country for the first time in my life, and speaking English was so intoxicating and alluring that I decided to go towards my dream, and now my goal, through all the obstacles, no matter what. This happened at the end of February 2011.
But I didn't have the money to sign up for the current intake, and there was little time left to find an offer. So I decided to fly in the summer of 2012, and in the meantime, prepare properly for the trip and find out everything, everything, everything.
I started remembering the English I'd forgotten since my first years, made study plans, dug up all sorts of books, and found several useful websites on the internet. And every day I tried to do something, to remember, to improve. I planned my life for the next year ahead - how much money to earn, what mode to study English in, when to do all this, and most importantly - not to forget about my studies in the process)
I barely waited for September, when the program registration would open. I signed up in the first intake, and with wild delight, I read the emails from the agency: "Hi, you have become a participant in the Work and Travel USA program." This was it, the first step towards the dream. Which was taken. All that remained was to find an offer, earn the necessary amount of money, brush up on my English, and handle my studies) In general, everything depended only on me, and that only gave me wings.
The process of finding an offer and going through the embassy will be described in other blog posts) In the end, I found an offer, was granted a visa at the embassy, and, not believing that my dream had come so close and all the trials were behind me, I started preparing for the trip. Most of the entries in this blog were originally written in a notebook, because there was no time or opportunity to write on the internet. So my blog will reflect the freshest impressions from the trip) So, let's get started)
