The Waterfront is essentially the most popular of the popular districts (or on par with the city center). Perhaps even the most beautiful. It didn't exist until the seventies; there was just ocean where it stands now. But then they filled in the land, reclaiming hectares from the ocean. And on this new ground, the Waterfront and Mouille Point were formed. The Waterfront has a bay. They say that just over ten or fifteen years ago, it was dirty, smelled unpleasant, and there was nothing to see. But gradually, the area was built up with shops, promenades, restaurants, clubs, and monuments, which turned the Waterfront into the most popular place in the city.
As for Mouille Point: it consists entirely of open parks, playgrounds, and paths for cycling, running, and walking.
It is worth noting that there are three most crowded and pleasant places to spend time here: the center, the Waterfront, and the beach at Camps Bay, which shares the name of the district. True, in the latter place during the African winter, it is deserted and quiet.
But the Waterfront and the center are buzzing all year round.
Did I mention that now, starting in October, our time difference with Moscow is only one hour? We are one hour behind. And three hours behind Chelyabinsk.
I called Katyushka and invited her over. She came and told me she was exhausted today. She spent the whole day running around the shops looking for shoes she liked. She didn't find any, but she said she bought a cute dress. James is having something like a graduation party at the university, he got his diploma, so she decided to dress up for the occasion.
"How does a woman think?" Katya says. "I went to the store to pick out shoes! Not a single style fit! I tried on dresses for a long time, but couldn't find one that matched my eye color. What to do? I had to buy a handbag!"
She always uses this example regarding female logic and says that she often acts this way herself.
