If you want something very much, really, really much, it will definitely come true! Did you know? Today I saw penguins. Of course, I've seen them before, in various zoos.
But today - in the wild!
And you know what? A dream came true!
I still can't stop smiling)
We went there by train, or rather by commuter train.
Penguins live in the southern suburb of Cape Town called Simon's Town.
It takes about an hour to get there. A first-class ticket costs 14 rand. Multiply by 4, and you get 56 rubles)
Not expensive, right?
The ride is interesting, with new landscapes, old factories, and European-style houses everywhere.
For the last twenty minutes, we traveled right along the coast. Very beautiful! The ocean is right under your nose)
After a snack at a local cafe (small cozy cafes are better than any chain restaurants), we finally headed to the penguins.
Imagine: the coast, clean white soft sand, the ocean shimmering in all shades of blue, a fresh breeze, dark silhouettes of mountains in the distance, and... PENGUINS!
Small cute creatures, clumsily walking on the rocks! If you could see them in the ocean... cooler than any fish! Such speed! Oooo! You can't keep up with them)
But on the shore... nothing can be funnier))
They even manage to jump)) They let people get within a meter of them at most. If you lean down and don't make noise, they aren't even afraid)
They react with curiosity to the sound of a camera click.
They warm themselves on land, proudly puffing out their chests!
So funny and proud.
They can even shout! When we climbed the rocks, some penguins started making noise. I think it's because they have chicks or eggs there.
In general, they are kind, funny, cute, and beautiful creatures.
And the dream came true))
And people didn't even believe me that penguins live in Africa.
