INTRO
I'm going to do this right. In a way that would have helped me back in the spring when I was spending my nights online. And in a way that's easy on the eyes.
The point of this opus is to show what I really felt, so that later you'll say, "Aha, I feel the same way," and it will be easier for you to make difficult decisions. Well, that's what I want to happen. For some reason, I think everyone feels more or less the same. I'll tell you how scary it really was to leave for somewhere unknown, what it was like to work for the first time, how I doubted whether to travel or leave things as they were, and what it was like to sleep under the open sky for the first time. And how much I gained in all these cases. There will be no exaggerations here at all - that's the whole point. In places, the diary is boring, in others, it's hilarious. No fairy tales. All photos (except for two) are unedited.
In principle, I could have written about how COOL everything is and cranked up the contrast in Photoshop to the max. I read enough of those reports that spring, but they didn't give me any confidence back then - so what if there are confident guys who think the sea (the Atlantic Ocean in our case) is knee-deep, I'm not like that. It was scary. In short, I wouldn't have spent three weeks of my now precious time on another fairy tale =) Take it as it was.
Albums, photos, and videos
Over the summer, I shot 6 gigabytes of photos and videos, which is more than 5,000 photos. (When I returned home, for the first month I couldn't open the folder with them, the computer would freeze =) And when I did open it, for another month I couldn't force myself to sort through these photos, how can you choose, say, the hundred best out of five thousand??) In general, there will be a ton of albums here and a ton of photos in them, because my home internet is fast. You don't have to watch everything; I will link to them from the report. Also, 100 video clips have been uploaded, all sorts of different ones. By the way, I've photographed a lot of necessary and unnecessary (just curious) documents, so if you are going for the first time, you can go there and see what a Social Security card or the notorious DS-2019 form looks like, for example.
Feedback
Guys, if you have any comments on the blog or questions, please write - I will be happy to answer!
Although most of the work is already done, as you understand, the blog is under active development. Pages will be edited and added by me from time to time. So here I will announce what I have added and what is planned. I've captioned the photos in the albums! Guys, I have exams, I don't have time right now =( Here is the to-do list for the coming days: edit the texts typed from notebooks, insert links to photos and videos into the travel pages, add 4 more thematic pages...
