Well, here it is. The day I arrived has finally come. I met my main office manager, Matt, who gave me a lot of paperwork and also fed me a hearty meal.
The café complex included the restaurant itself, a coffee shop, an ice cream parlor, and a regular souvenir and grocery store. Behind it is our two-story dorm. Besides all this, they opened a bike and boat rental on the front porch of the restaurant in the middle of the season, and firewood was sold throughout the season. That's about it. Upon arrival, it was, of course, very empty. Few people, and not all the staff had arrived yet. Besides the Americans, there were 2 Uzbeks and 3 Bulgarians.
I was put in a room with another guy from Uzbekistan and Evgeni. The room was quite satisfactory. Very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was shared between two rooms.
But most of all, of course, I loved the views here, which I have now seen for myself. Not through Google, but with my own eyes. I even have this photo hanging in my room now:
But the first day in the village was very short. I just messaged my family that I had arrived, and then I passed out. Next, my first workday awaited me, which, according to the schedule, started at 7 a.m.
