"The last week... so fast"
We were starting our final days on Cape Cod when the first calls came in from our American friends saying they were leaving and coming to say goodbye.
"Already???"
I felt uneasy.
I was scrolling through my whole summer and couldn't understand how it had flown by so quickly.
Danny arrived, we spent about 2 hours together, and then we went to the car and hugged him goodbye. He couldn't get into the car for a long time. Everyone was crying. He put on the sad song "lead me out of the dark" and slowly started to drive away. We watched him go into the distance and sang along to the song.
It became very sad.
A few days later, my dear friends Aika, Masha, and Natasha left.
To say it was sad and empty is an understatement.
I would come to work, and the staff was getting smaller and smaller.
Every day, people were leaving and leaving.
In the last working days, there were few people in the parks; I sat and remembered this wonderful summer...
On 09/02, I was flying to Miami.
I had to say goodbye to everyone, but I comforted myself only with the thought that we would definitely meet again someday.
So many words were said, so many tears were shed... I didn't even want to fly to Miami anymore... I felt empty inside...
Only one person remained... Someone close and dear, whom we met in Miami... but I never saw the others again.
When you are in America... cherish every moment... cherish the time and the people around you... unfortunately, it will all pass...
