On the weekend, I managed to visit small towns in Maine, as well as nearby attractions: Boston (Massachusetts), Niagara Falls (New York), and Washington, D.C. Looking at the waterfall takes your breath away, clears your mind, and fills you with happiness; we were as happy as children. I fell in love with Boston with all my heart and soul, even though it didn't welcome me so kindly the first few times when it was just a layover. By the third time, I was completely in love! I definitely recommend visiting.
And so, as September approached, my work visa was counting down the days until it expired. It was time to think about a vacation. This was the most unusual experience!! Everyone knows about the organized bus tour to California, and it's one of those places that doesn't need a magnet; you're drawn there regardless. I was planning my vacation with my dear friend, whom I met in Maine since we both arrived alone. Well, something kept Lina and me from fully committing to the bus tour. We realized we wanted more. But it's not as fun with just two people, is it? We needed more people!! After quickly posting an ad for an independent trip, I waited, nervously waiting for responses. Not just one or two people wrote to me, and the choice randomly fell on two girls we immediately felt a connection with. And so began the meticulous work of organizing our trip. It was amazing. We booked EVERYTHING and planned the entire route ourselves. The anticipation and expectations were eating away at my curiosity. 'When will it finally start?' I thought, our journey....
